The Class

Nutrition at KCOM is really an extension of Biochemistry. Most medical schools don’t teach a nutrition course, mainly because the material is incorporated in other courses, such as biochemistry. For those that did well in Biochemistry I and II, you will should find similar success in Nutrition. For those that didn’t do so well, you will probably do better in Nutrition because your third quarter classes prepped you even more to cram the material into your head.

The Professors

Trish Sexton

You are familiar with her lecture style and test questions. Very little has changed from the Biochemistry course in regards to preparing for her questions.

Dr. Cenedella

He teaches a couple of lectures on nutrition and athletes, which, in my opinion, where the most enjoyable lectures of my basic science curriculum. I would not miss those lectures if I were you.

The Content

It has been way to long for me to make comments on this.

...So don’t blow this course off. If you study its an easy A. If you don’t, the test is harder than you think. You’ll still pass but you’ll feel stupid for getting a 72. ~Michelle Hill

Books

Don’t buy any books for this course, unless it is a board review book.

Old Exams

The 2006 exam is a good one to review.
